Thanks for sorting out the deal on the 40RDT SE for me. It means a lot. It's all hardwired in, warming up and I have had a few minutes spinning the Doobie Brothers and a few other tracks. I am more than satisfied with this unit. It already surpasses the PASS LABS Xono, and not by a small amount. The 40 sounds unforced, clear, spacious and so foot-tapping. The turntable is really enjoying a new lease of life and like you said before - the turntable can do it, the bottle-neck is in the phono stage. I totally get that now.
